Electrical & Lockout/Tagout

OSHA-compliant lockout/tagout devices, arc flash PPE, insulated tools, and energy control products for industrial facilities in Weatherford and Parker County.

Electrical hazards — including arc flash, shock, and failure to control hazardous energy — are among the leading causes of serious injury and death in industrial workplaces. OSHA's lockout/tagout standard (29 CFR 1910.147) alone cites thousands of violations annually. At XLI Industries, we supply a complete line of electrical safety and lockout/tagout equipment designed to help your facility meet compliance requirements and protect your workers. We serve businesses in Weatherford, Aledo, Hudson Oaks, Mineral Wells, Springtown, and across Parker County with fast turnaround, dedicated account service, and expert product guidance.

Lockout/Tagout (LOTO): OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 Requirements

OSHA's Control of Hazardous Energy standard — commonly known as LOTO — requires employers to establish a written energy control program, train authorized employees, and provide the equipment needed to isolate hazardous energy sources during servicing and maintenance operations. This includes individual padlocks (one lock, one key per authorized employee), hasp devices for multi-employee lockouts, tags, lockout stations, lockout hasps, valve lockouts, and electrical plug lockouts. XLI Industries supplies complete LOTO kits as well as individual components, and we can help you build a station layout matched to your specific machinery and energy sources.

Arc Flash Protection: NFPA 70E Compliance

NFPA 70E is the standard for electrical safety in the workplace and is the primary reference used by OSHA when citing electrical arc flash violations. It requires employers to perform an arc flash risk assessment, label electrical equipment with incident energy data, and provide workers with arc-rated PPE matched to the hazard level. Arc flash PPE includes arc-rated face shields, balaclava hoods, gloves, and arc flash suits with cal/cm² ratings aligned to the task's estimated incident energy. XLI Industries stocks PPE kits for HRC (Hazard Risk Category) 1 through 4, as well as individual components for facilities that already have suits and need accessories.

Insulated Tools and Electrical Safety Accessories

Beyond LOTO and arc flash, electrical safety requires proper tooling. IEC 60900 and ASTM F1505 specify requirements for insulated hand tools rated up to 1,000V. Klein Tools — a brand we carry — is an industry benchmark for insulated screwdrivers, pliers, nut drivers, and wire strippers. We also supply voltage testers, non-contact voltage detectors, insulated gloves and leather protectors rated per ASTM D120, and rubber matting for electrical panels. Having the right tool for the task is not just about productivity — it's a compliance and safety issue.
